I was born in North Carolina and grew up drawing and painting. My primary career field has been in the environmental sciences and technology. So while I'm largely a self-taught artist, I have taken a number of painting, drawing, and art history classes. My art has always been there, no matter what is happening in the rest of my life.

My environmental science background has given me a lot of respect of nature. While I have a lot of respect for technology also, my art seems to get drawn back to the natural world.
